Pain and Illness

Pain and Illness

Pain, Illness, Qi and Yin Yang

Pain, Illness, Qi and Yin Yang

By Patrick Ledrappier

What is pain and disease in Chinese medicine?

In Chinese medicine, there is pain or disease when the Qi stagnates or is "knotted" and it no longer circulates fluidly in the body, resulting in stagnation or blood knotting with blood stasis formations for example, as well as a poor metabolism of Organic Liquids, which generates the appearance of mass in the body (edema, nodules, mucus, etc.).

So there is a disease in Chinese medicine when Qi is "tied".

The Qi stagnates or is knotted because of a disharmony of Yin and Yang.

In general, Yin and Yang represent the two opposite aspects of all things, phenomena, and beings. In physiology, Yin and Yang refer to the two complementary of Qi as well as all bodily and psychic phenomena. For example, when the body temperature is low (35 °), it is Yin, when it is high (39 °), it is Yang, etc.

What is Qi in Physiology?

In physiology, it expresses the human peculiarities of the fundamental forces of the interacting universe within our organism.

These fundamental forces, our physicists present them today as being:

  • the strong nuclear interaction (the strong interaction acts on the particles carrying a load of color: quarks, antiquarks, and gluons),
  • the electromagnetic interaction,
  • the weak nuclear interaction (It is responsible for the radioactive decay of subatomic particles and is at the origin of the nuclear fusion in the stars)
  • Gravitation.

Indeed, just as they govern the universe, these interactions animate us. Simply, they produce in us other effects than on galaxies, planets, meteorology or plant growth. They are at the base of the production of the different bodily energies implemented by our metabolism. They could be considered as a kind of reinforcement or energetic matrix.

In physiology, we know the effects of two of these forces:

  •  Electromagnetism is the branch of physics that studies the interactions between electrically charged particles, whether at rest or in motion and more generally the effects of electricity, using the notion of electromagnetic field. In physiology we know, for example, the electrical activity of the heart (The cardiac electric current appears in the sinus node (a few millimeters in diameter), situated at the top of the right auricle;
  • The gravitation that would reduce us to the state of horizontal mass if we did not produce the energy that allows us to counter it to move us standing.

Leo Fang's Yin Yang Harmonising Therapy

The use of electricity to cure diseases is not new. In Switzerland, in 1748, the Geneva physicist Jean Jallabert successfully treated a patient with a paralyzed arm thanks to an electrostatic device. Today, it is even one of the promising ways in the treatment of cancer.

I was able to test the effects of Leo Fang's Electro-Stimulating Yin Yang Harmonising Therapeutic Apparatus on different patients and myself in September 2017 in Sydney, Australia. Here are the results of this incredible experience.

After visiting two hospitals in Beijing in 2013 and my scientific conversations with various officials and doctors of these hospitals, I was informed of the invention of a device that uses electrical impulses to harmonize the Yin and Yang. The inventor, Leo Fang, opened 47 therapeutic treatment centers in China and a clinic in Sydney. Two more clinics are set up in cities near Sydney. Mr. Fang offered me to test his device to experience the therapeutic efficacy.

Device validation test conditions:

1. I had to test it on myself in order to appreciate the effects on:

  • My general form (psychic and physical tone);
  • My sleep (quality and duration);
  • Holding my bladder at night (I usually get up once or twice to urinate);
  • The consistency of my stools and the number of times I evacuate them during the day (usually twice);

To this was added the residual treatment of a seriously sprained ankle that was 3 weeks old and which caused significant edema and acute pain. The edema was treated with ointments from my preparation (onion, turmeric pepper, and olive oil), massage (very painful) and acupuncture. At the beginning of the validation test, there was residual edema that swelled significantly in the evening, especially at the top of the external malleolus, and pain that appeared in the morning when waking and walking.

After 1 hour of treatment

The residual edema completely disappeared and the pain disappeared completely.

2. I had to make my own diagnosis of Mr. Fang's patients:

For that, I had to resort to the classical methods of the Chinese medicine: taking of pulse, observation of the complexion of the face, the eyes, the language, palpation of the wrists, the forearms and the hands, small interrogation to know where the patient had pain and palpation of the painful area.

Patient # 1, Tiffiny

Followed by herbal medicine for:

  • Arthritis of the fingers with impossibility to bend the index finger of the right hand, swelling and rigidity of the fingers, pain in the hands;
  • Trapezoid pain;
  • Presence of cold;
  • Insomnia.

Patient # 2, Nick

  • Followed by acupuncture for Joint pain (shoulders, knees wrists);
  • Lumbar pains (lower back);
  • Fatigue and insomnia;

Patient # 3, Andrew

Followed by acupuncture and massage following a motorcycle accident for:

  • Impossibility of raising arms upwards;
  • reduced mobility of the knees;
  • Radiant pains in the back.

Results of my observations

The diagnoses established by Mr. Fang with his apparatus and me through the classical method coincided with the assessments of the general Yin and Yang imbalances and those of the principal Organs.

Results of electro-harmonization treatment of YinYang on the sprain of Patrick Ledrappier
Patrick's treatment process
The sprained ankle of Patrick Ledrappier At the beginning of YinYang electro-harmonization treatment, after treatment with ointment, massage, and acupuncture for 3 weeks. There remains residual edema that swells at night and severe pain. After 1 hour of treatment.The residual edema completely disappeared and the pain disappeared completely.

On my sprain

After one hour of treatment, the residual edema completely resorbed, the pain disappeared. No edema present in the evening. The pain, much more moderate, reappeared the morning after waking. The pain completely disappeared after 7 hours daily treatment.

 On my general form:

Very clear and indisputable improvement.

On my sleep and holding my bladder at night:

I usually sleep 6 hours a night with at least one alarm clock to urinate. The duration of my sleep lengthened by half an hour without any awakening.

On the consistency of my stools and the number of times I evacuate them during the day:

I only go to the bathroom once instead of two and my stools are less soft and less oily.

On me, this process has had the effect:

  • To disperse the stagnation of Qi and Blood in my ankle (resorbed edema, disappearance of pain);
  • To harmonize the YinYang cycle of the day (better sleep quality and longer duration);
  • Toning the Kidneys and Bladder Yang (disappearing from the nocturnal awakening to urinate);
  • Toning the Yang of the Spleen-Pancreas (stools are less soft and less oily).

Effects on Tiffiny (4 sessions):

For her arthritis to the fingers with impossibility to bend the index of the right hand, swelling and stiffness of the fingers, pain in the hands: From the first session, the index finger has regained its mobility and the pain has disappeared
For trapezius pains: Complete disappearance of pains at the third session;
For the presence of cold: Effects difficult to appreciate for the moment
For insomnia: From the first session, Tiffiny says she slept deeply and had dreams.

Effects on Nick (1 session):

For joint pain (shoulders, knees wrists): Disappearance or net attenuation.
For lower back pain: Clear attenuation in intensity and frequency.
For fatigue and insomnia: Nick says he no longer has a sleep problem and has a better shape. He will continue the treatment.

Effects on Andrew (7 sessions):

On the impossibility of raising arms upwards: Again possible, easily and without embarrassment or pain.
On reduced and limited mobility of the knees: Mobility restored.
On the radiating pains in the back: Disappearance of pain.

Overall, Yin Yang Harmonising Therapy with electrical impulses on acupoints, on painful body areas and on Meridian paths is lethal. From the point of view of Chinese medicine, the effects that I have seen are:

- Dispersion of the stagnation of Qi and Blood which are at the origin of all the pains in Chinese medicine;
- Dispersions of blood clusters often associated with stagnation of Qi and Blood;
- Beneficial effects of wind, cold and humidity that are associated with joint pain;
- General Harmonization of YinYang with Yin or Yang Toning.
